It is very unusual for Daniel to carve just a Maiden's face.
 However, upon examining this extraordinary Laboradorite
 gemstone it seems to me that this carving could have
 been no other way.

The Laboradorite fires is if it were high quality Opal. No
matter how you turn the Laboradorite gemstone and
no matter the light, Maidens faces just glows. It is
as if we can see past her face and
into her thoughts.

Of all the stones used in Zuni, Laboradorite is among the
most difficult to carve. It is extremely hard and must
 be cut perfectly to catch the fire (and rarely is
there as much fire present as we see here).

Every time you look at this Maidens face she presents
 another look... another image full of color.
 It is quite rare, there will never be
another like it.
