Zuni Fetish Necklaces by Debra Gasper and Ray Tsethlikai

Zuni Fetish Necklaces are the most difficult Zuni fetishes to carve.
Practical considerations as well as aesthetic must be considered.
Does each fetish carving complement the others??
Does the necklace rest properly on a person's neck??
Are the colors pleasing??  

There are only a handful of Zuni carvers capable of making
fetish necklaces of this fine quality.

A strand of 17 assorted Fossil Ivory Fetishes all perfectly inlaid
 with Silver are strung on natural Ox Blood red Coral
and Fossil Ivory Heishe.

Each carving measures about 1" to 1 1/4". The carvings
 include frogs, tadpoles, bears, mountain lions,
turtles, badgers, moles and a center eagle.

They are strung on a 27" Single Strand
